Principal's Note
Dear Families,
Fall crept into our school life quietly and unannounced while we were still trying to decide what to wear to combat the strange weather patterns we have been experiencing. Nevertheless, I welcome you and our new families to another school year that promises a lot of excitement in and out of the classroom.
This September you were greeted with a brand new set of red doors at the school entrance. Our custodial crew appreciate all the compliments they received. At the same time, if you had a chance to come into the school, you will also notice that the hallway on the first floor has a new look. We are grateful for the funding from the City for this job that also includes the third floor. The third-floor hallway will be done in December. If you attended “Back to School” night in September, you probably noticed the new stage and window curtains in the auditorium. Additionally, there will be new lighting installed before the end of October.
Our PTA, as always has a long list of activities for you and your children to engage in. This year we are also looking outward for support to improve our school initiatives as well as our school façade. Here are just a few events you may want to enter into your calendar:
The PTA had also hosted a Legislative Breakfast to discuss supporting our priorities for this school year. Another such event is in the works with the Assembly person and Council person of the Fresh Meadow Community. We hope you will attend to get your questions answered.
As always, thank you for all you do for our children. We look forward to another productive school year.
